Our Mission:
Habitat for Humanity Findlay/Hancock County works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God's love and can live and grow into all that God intends.

Our Goal:
The goal of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate sub-standard housing and homelessness worldwide and to make affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action.

History:
Habitat for Humanity Findlay/Hancock County Inc. was initiated by the late Paul Geyer, President of Coldwell Banker/Geyer Associates Realty, through discussions with community leaders about the possibility of creating a Habitat for Humanity affiliate in the Findlay area in 1996. We were incorporated as a private, non-profit corporation in September 1997 and became an official Habitat for Humanity International, Inc. affiliate on August 1, 1999.  Habitat for Humanity Findlay/Hancock County celebrated its first groundbreaking on May 13, 2000 with its first House Dedication on November 4, 2000.  Habitat Findlay/Hancock County is managed by an 18 member Board of Trustees and an Executive Director.  Our office is currently located in the new Family Center.
