DISCLAIMER:
Habitat for Humanity Findlay/Hancock County does not
discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, age, handicap, religion,
marital status or income.  We are an Equal Opportunity Housing Provider.

How It Works:
Through volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat for Humanity Findlay/Hancock County builds simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner Partner Families. A typical Habitat home is a 3 bedroom/1 bath home with approximately 1100 square feet of living space and a garage.  Habitat Findlay/Hancock County has built 11 homes in the Findlay area that houses 43 people since its inception.

Partner Families:
Financing for Habitat houses are sold to Partner Families directly through our affiliate office in the form of a non-interest bearing, 15-30 year loan, depending on the repayment ability of the family.  Each Partner Family is given the opportunity for a "Hand-Up"...not a "Hand Out" by serving 400 hours of "sweat equity" toward the building of their home.  In addition, each family bears the responsibility of demonstrating their ability to repay the mortgage, invest $500 toward the down payment of their home and attend home ownership classes.  To see if you or someone you know meets the Habitat for Humanity criteria to apply for a Habitat Home, please review the Partner Family Requirements Guide.
